Here Is Every Movie Releasing in Theaters in November 2024 (2025)

As we slowly inch closer to 2025, more and more movies are being released, some after lengthy delays, while others entertain audiences right on schedule. Despite the increasing number of movies available on various streaming services, many viewers prefer to watch them in the theater on the big screen.

As a result, every month, audiences have a plethora of new, exciting films to look forward to, ranging from horror to historical epics. In October 2024, several fantastic films were released, such as Terrifier 3 and Smile 2, as well as disappointing films like Joker: Folie à Deux. Similarly, we have numerous additional movies lined up for theaters the following month across all genres. With that in mind, these are the movies you can look forward to watching in theaters in November 2024.

Absolution

Initially titled Thug, Absolution is an upcoming crime thriller film directed by Hans Peter Moland (In Order of Disappearance) and written by Tony Gayton (Hell on Wheels). The film stars Liam Neeson as an aging mobster who wishes to leave his criminal past behind and reconnect with his children. However, the criminal underworld will not let him go willingly, resulting in a game of cat and mouse that leads to extreme consequences for both parties. Absolution will be released theatrically on November 1, 2024.

Hitpig!

Hitpig! is an upcoming animated comedy film that features the voices of popular actors, including Jason Sudeikis, Rainn Wilson, Lilly Singh, Anitta, and Charlie Adler. The film is an adaptation of Berkeley Breathed's original story based on his 2008 children's book Pete & Pickles.

In this new adventure comedy, Jason Sudeikis plays Hitpig, a bounty hunter who captures escaped pets and animals and returns them to their owners. When an owner offers Hitpig a million dollars to find their missing elephant, Hitpig teams up with other animals to find it, but after overcoming several hurdles along the road, he realizes that money isn't everything. Hitpig! is set to be released in theaters on November 1, 2024.

Small Things Like These

Small Things Like These is a historical drama film based on a 2021 novel of the same name by Claire Keegan. Starring Cillian Murphy, the film had its world premiere on February 15, 2024, at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival and will be released in theaters across the world in November, including the United States and the United Kingdom.

The story takes place in 1985, when Bill Furlong, a coal merchant and devout father, makes a startling discovery at a local convent during Christmas. Despite knowing the risks involved, Bill tries to unearth the truth on his own, unaware that it might be a part of a bigger conspiracy encompassing the entire Irish Town of New Ross. Small Things Like These, directed by Tim Mielants and written by Enda Walsh, will open in cinemas on November 8, 2024.

Red One

Audiences have long been drawn to films with a star-studded cast, from The Expendables to the most recent Red Notice. This November, we have another intriguing film with multiple A-list actors, including Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, J.K. Simmons, and Lucy Liu.

In this new holiday comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan, when Santa Claus, who goes by the code name Red One, is kidnapped, the North Pole's Head of Security, Callum Drift, teams up with one of the most notorious bounty hunters named Jack O' Malley to find his whereabouts, all leading to a globe-trotting adventure that involves an endless stream of action sequences for viewers. Red One will be available in theaters on November 15, 2024.

Gladiator II

Nobody expected a sequel to Gladiator two decades later, certainly not from Ridley Scott, who also directed the original film. However, many fans are unaware that a sequel was proposed as early as June 2001 but was not confirmed until 2018. Gladiator II is intended to be an action-packed war epic that will hopefully reach the heights of the film before it.

In this story, Lucius (played by Paul Mescal) loses everything, including his home, to Rome's tyrannical emperors and enters the Colosseum to find strength and restore Rome's glory to its people, even if it means losing much more — his life. Gladiator II, which stars Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Connie Nelson, and Joseph Quinn, alongside Paul Mescal, will be released in cinemas on November 22, 2024.

Moana 2

With the announcement of the Moana live-action film, many fans have revisited the original animated adventure comedy, Moana (2016), making it the most viewed animated film of 2023 in the United States, with 11.6 billion minutes on Disney+. Is there a better moment to release a sequel to the 2016 film than now?

Moana 2 has been in development for almost two years and is set to hit theaters shortly. In the sequel, after hearing an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana embarks on a treacherous journey across Oceania in order to connect her people to the ocean, encountering several unforeseen hurdles along the way. Moana 2 will be released in theaters on November 27, 2024.
